Healthy food in South Bay: Mountain View & Sunnyvale

It drives me crazy trying to find healthy food when eating out in MV & Sunnyvale.

It’s mind-boggling to me that thousands of high-stressed techies working in the area, are unable to find a proper healthy restaurant with clean food that can nourish their exhausted minds and body after a long day of work.

Take it from someone who spends half her time in MV (my boyfriend lives here), I have gone near and far scouting for healthier food options at restaurants and supermarkets in the area.

Thankfully, there are a few places that do a good job providing healthier options.

Here are my favorite food spots in Mountain View & Sunnyvale:

Everyone is going on a juice cleanse in Taipei, but why?

OH HELL YEAS. TAIPEI IS OFFICIALLY AS COOL AS L.A cus we’ve got…

COLD-PRESSED JUICES

Restaurant review: Twenty & Six Espresso- Melbourne

It’s been a few months since I was in Melbourne, Australia, but man did we fall in love with the beautiful city. I can’t stop thinking about the amazing culture, people, and the food is just mind-blowingly delicious and well-crafted. I could go on and on. My boyfriend and I talked about moving to Melbourne one day. Not even kidding.

One of our first brunch spots was Twenty & Six Espresso in North Melbourne. We were lucky to get patio seats on a nice summer day. The food didn’t disappoint, and the coffee was great.

I’m a picky eater because I choose to be healthy and indulge on food that matters to me

Is that such a crime?!

I get a lot of eye rolls and snarky (but half joking) remarks when my friends eat out with me at restaurants. They say things like “you’re so picky,” “you’re so hard to please,” “are you dieting again” when in fact I eat a lot, probably more than YOU, thank you very much. I just so happen to choose what I put into my body more wisely, so I feel healthy and I don’t go home feeling guilty about my poor choices.

Restaurant review: Dottie’s True Blue Cafe- San Francisco

I just moved to SF a few weeks ago and one thing I noticed about the breakfast culture here is that SF people love their traditional American breakfast. No frills, no fuss, no bull shit. It’s mostly just pancakes, french toast, eggs, and coffee. I usually like my breakfast a bit more refined when I’m eating out, but Dottie’s does it well. Continue reading
